Student Focused Loans
As the cost of education rises, it becomes increasingly difficult to finance. To make it easier to afford the expenses of higher learning, we offer several loan types to meet students' needs.
Computer Loans
NUFCU has created a special low loan rate for University of Nebraska students, staff and their families who are interested in buying a computer from the UNL Computer and Phone Shop. For more information about this loan, contact a loan officer at 402-472-2087 or read our online application.
Credit Cards
Another loan alternative is our Visa Credit Card. With no annual fee, no default rates or other surprise fees, a 25-day grace period on purchases, and one of the lowest rates available anywhere you will have a hard time finding a card that will compare. For help comparing your borrowing options, please call 402-472-2087. Apply online.
No Annual Fee. Free Balance Transfers. A 25 day grace period. The rate is subject to change quarterly based on the Prime Rate as published in the Wall Street Journal plus a margin of 3.4%. Apply online.

Student Loans
Because of the passing of Health Care and Education Affordability Reconciliation Act (H.R. 4872) that was signed into law March 30, 2010, all new federal student loans as of July 1, 2010 will now go through the William D. Ford Federal Direct Loan Program which is operated by the U.S. Government.
Effective June 14, 2010, we are no longer accepting new applications for student loans through the Federal Family Educational Loan Program. Contact your school's financial aid office for more information on securing federal student loans.
Members who have their prior student loans with NUFCU will not have any changes at this time, and these loans will continue to be serviced at Great Lakes and held by NUFCU. For information on existing loans with Great Lakes, visit www.mygreatlakes.org or call 800-236-4300.
